Westario Power set a new benchmark and signed a Leadership Accord on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. President and CEO, Jenny Alfandary emphasized the significance of equal opportunities and the role of the company in setting a precedence for businesses operating in rural regions of Ontario to break down discrimination in hiring barriers.

Chair of Westario Power Board of Directors, George Bridge, came out to show his support and appreciation for the company’s leadership role in creating a meaningful transformation for the workforce.
“Thank you on behalf of the board, having Westario Power taking leadership role and getting this done is appreciated.”, added Mr. Bridge.

Jenny Alfandary, who celebrates her one-year anniversary as President and CEO of Westario Power, outlined the company’s engagement in representing various regions, backgrounds, and perspectives, by continuing to look for opportunities to close gaps and eliminate barriers.

“As the President and CEO of Westario Power, I feel it is mandatory that I show up with an open mind and heart to build emotional intelligence, empathy and inspire action. It is not sufficient to simply have knowledge, we must take immediate action. Empowerment not Oppression.”, said Mrs. Alfandary at the end of her speech.
