As a part of your community, Westario Power is committed to delivering the safe and reliable power you need while helping to protect the health and safety of our employees and neighbours.
We are also determined to find additional ways to help protect and serve the community, especially those who are most vulnerable.

Supporting our Customers

We understand there has already been a significant amount of disruption in the lives and livelihoods of electricity customers in our service territory, many resulting in financial hardships.
To help, Westario Power suspended collection activity March 19 and is extending the electricity disconnections moratorium for all residential customers to July 31, 2020. This decision has also been extended to low-volume, small business customers as well.
We recognize these customer groups are more vulnerable during these troubling times and we will continue to support them as best we can. We encourage you to remain as current as possible with your payments to avoid building a large balance.
Additional financial assistance may be available through the Low-Income Emergency Assistance Program (LEAP) and the Ontario Electricity Support Program.
Please continue to stay in touch with our Customer Service Team by contacting a Representative at 1-866-978-2746 or email to [email protected], should you require assistance.

Local electricity utilities in Ontario have been working closely with the Electricity Distributors Association (EDA) and the Ministry of Energy, to bring forth the concerns of our customers regarding time-of-use rates, which are set by the Ontario Energy Board – our regulator. We have been assured that the Province is looking into ways to provide special rate relief to you, the ratepayer.
Westario Power will continue to monitor this development and provide updates as they become available.

Protecting our Employees

Safety for our customers and employees is at the forefront of our corporate values. We are following the direction of health authorities to ensure that our practices are aligned with the latest recommendations and we have put protocols in place to minimize the risk for our employees and the public. In response to recent developments with the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to close our office to the public.
Beyond that, we have reduced our office staff to protect employees and enable others to take care of children at home. Although staff will do their best to respond to your inquiries, you may find it easier and more efficient to visit our website to find solutions to your questions/inquiries. A representative will be available to assist customers by telephone or email, Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays) between the hours of 8:30 – 4:00 p.m. EST).

Powering Your Community

Our Operations Team will continue to respond to power outages and other electrical emergencies. Technicians will continue to complete service orders – such as new service connections and requested disconnections.
We ask the public to practice safe social distancing measures (minimum 2 metres) should they be required to speak with one of our Team members.
Services that are not urgent or time-sensitive, but require in-person customer contact by Westario Power employees, will be rescheduled. Westario Power will contact customers to reschedule those appointments.

Thank you for your understanding as we continue to work together to ensure the safety and well-being of our employees and the public.
