Meter Readings
- Adjustment Factor
- When electricity is delivered over a power line, it is normal for a small amount of power to be consumed or lost as heat. Equipment, such as wires and transformers, consumes power before it gets to your home or business. The Adjustment Factor accounts for these losses. Example: 1.070000
- Metered Quantity
- Metered Quantity is the amount of kWh’s used from the previous meter reading to the present meter reading. Example: 873.36
- Billed Quantity
- Billed Quantity is the amount of kWh’s used from the previous meter reading to the present meter reading multiplied by the Adjustment Factor. Example: 934.4952

"Time-of-Use electricity pricing is a way of adjusting the cost of electricity based upon demand. With TOU pricing there are three cost periods each weekday referred to as "Off-peak", "Mid-peak", and "On-peak" periods. Weekends and holidays are always Off-peak periods. Rates are subject to change by the OEB twice a year (May 01 & Nov 01)."

- Debt Retirement Charge
- The Debt Retirement Charge pays down the debt of the former Ontario Hydro. Example: $6.11
- Harmonized Sales Tax
- The Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) is a charge of 13% in accordance with the Province of Ontario’s tax system. Example: $17.66
